Ori Apkon

Hi I'm Ori, the creator of FungAI Media and your coach in the FungAI Learning Center!

I am a video artist, educator, and skydiver based out of New York's Hudson Valley.  I hold a degree in theatrical design technologies.  I work with many mediums and technologies including AI generative art tools, interactive projection art, laser cutting, 3D printing, and much more.

I'm so excited for the opportunity to teach you how to make the wildest, trippiest, most magical animations you can imagine!  These generative video tools are new technology with a steep learning curve for most people, especially those who aren't already particularly skilled with computers.

That's why I'm here!  I love creating with these tools so much that I wanted to make sure everyone, no matter what your skill set or background, can learn to create spectacular video art.  My goal is to provide you with the most comprehensive understanding of these tools so you can create, navigate, and troubleshoot your own videos.

I look forward to connecting and learning together!

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Course FAQs

What will the course cover?

The course covers all of the latest tools in the AI Video world including WarpFusion, Deforum, AnimateDiff, and other utilizations of Stable Diffusion models in Automatic1111 and ComfyUI.  This may seem like a lot but in this new and expanding field this view allows us to maintain a flexible and comprehensive perspective on the industry, and build a foundation for deep understanding of modern AI video processing.

How long is the course?

The course will run for 1 month, starting on the first of the month, and ending exactly 4 weeks later.  This allow me to restructure components of the course each month to cater to the rapidly changing industry

What are the computer requirements?

There are two ways we teach you to use these tools.  Those running Windows 10/11 with very high powered GPUs, meaning an RTX 3090 or 4090, will be able to run these tools locally.  For everyone else, any Windows, Mac, Linux, or even Chromebook will work because you will be running your diffusion processes on rented compute power provided by Google's Colab Pro.

How much can I expect to pay for Colab Pro?

How much you pay for Colab Pro will depend directly on how much you use it.  You can expect to pay between $0.54-$1.38 per hour while using these tools on "Hosted" (rented) compute space.  That doesn't sound like much but some videos can take several hours to render so just be aware that this can add up over time so just be mindful of your use and planning thoughtfully before rendering.  (Don't worry, you'll learn all about optimizing your time in the course.)

Who is this course for?

This course is for everyone and anyone who is interested in creating stunning, magical video art using the most state-of-the-art, complex tools.

If you have never used Stable Diffusion but it intrigues you, this course is for you.

If you have used Stable Diffusion or image creators but are trying to learn video creation, this course is for you,

If you've started warping or using Deforum but are stuck and need some guidance, this course is for you.

If you're interested in making money from creating AI video art, this course is for you.

If you just want someone to tell you the answers or give you a golden settings file, this course is NOT for you.  I'm here to teach you how to read a video, how to think about building a diffusion workflow for it, and how to craft prompts and settings that make what YOU want.

Give a person a vid they'll watch once or twice, teach a person to vid, and they'll make what they feel is nice.  Now lets go make things you like!

How do the live sessions work?

All students receive access to live coaching sessions every week.  The schedule for these will be detailed each month in the Discord channel and will include 1-2 live sessions every week.  These will range from live lessons, group coaching sessions, and guest lectures from other industry professionals.  There will also be open office hours held each week for tech support and coaching.
